I'm Jacob Capeles, a licensed Illinois broker with Pearson Realty Group serving the North Shore and northwest suburbs. After nearly a decade in the U.S. Army — from Hinesville and Savannah, GA to Vilseck, Germany — I understand the logistics and the emotional weight of a move better than most.

 

Raised by a single mother of two, I watched her overcome every obstacle life threw at her. That resilience gave me the drive to do whatever it takes to succeed — a trait I've carried through 15 years in the technology sector and into my career as a broker. Having lived in nearly a dozen Illinois neighborhoods — from Logan Square and Humboldt Park to Mount Prospect and now Northbrook — I don't just know the market. I know the communities.

 

I'm a practitioner, not just a salesperson. I own a long-term rental in Tennessee bought with my VA loan, house-hacked a Des Plaines home with my family, and now run a short-term rental in South Haven, Michigan. I've been the buyer, the seller, the landlord, and the investor — so whether you're a first-time buyer, a relocating veteran, or an investor hunting cash flow, I've been in your shoes.
